Last night I went night snorkeling with the group, and I finally saw an octopus for the first time in the wild. The octopus was massive and beautiful. Unfortunately, because I couldn’t see too well, I got a burn on my hand from an unknown species attached to the dock pillar from bumping into it. Other than the burn, observing the reef at night was like a whole new experience, the reef seemed relatively quiet, and most of the fish were asleep. Additionally, I saw a lot more stingrays, a pufferfish and shrimp that charged at the light from my flash light.
